Island Morning-glory (Calystegia macrostegia) is a stunning evergreen vine with large pale pink flowers that bloom from February to July, providing a long flowering season. It has lush, arrow-shaped green leaves and climbs with tendrils.
Thriving in full sun near the coast and part-shade inland, it adapts to nearly any soil type. A fast grower, it is ideal for covering fences, walls, or as a groundcover. Weekly watering keeps it looking its best, and trimming back in winter encourages a full, vibrant display the following spring.
Developed from cuttings taken from Anacapa Island, it is also known as Anacapa Pink. Its flowers support bees, making it both beautiful and beneficial for wildlife.
